This policy explains how personal data is collected, used and protected across the Charqe website and our products.

2. Data collected on this website

charqe.io is a static informational website. It uses no analytics tools, no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies. No identifying cookie is placed in your browser during your visit.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. The hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser information, in order to deliver the service and maintain security. Charqe has no access to these logs and does not use them for marketing.

When you send us an email, the information you share in that correspondence is processed so that we can assess your request.

3. Data collected in our products

Using our mobile applications requires an account. The data processed includes:

  • Account data: email address and authentication details.
  • Profile data: information you provide for the application to function (for example age, gender, goal and fitness level in GymA).
  • Usage data: the records you enter (for example workout history and body measurements).
  • Technical data: device model, operating system version and application version, for debugging and stability.

If in-app analytics are used, this is stated explicitly in that application’s privacy notice and in its app store data disclosure.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data in order to:

  • provide the service and manage your account (performance of a contract),
  • respond to support requests (legitimate interest),
  • maintain the security and stability of the service (legitimate interest),
  • comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

We do not process your data for advertising or profiling.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Data is shared only:

  • with the hosting, database and authentication providers we use to deliver the service — solely for that purpose and under contractual confidentiality obligations,
  • where a lawful request is made by a competent public authority.

6. Where data is stored

User data is hosted on servers in the European Union region. Where a transfer outside that region is necessary, it is carried out with the safeguards required by applicable law.

7. Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account remains open. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems; only records we are legally required to keep (such as invoicing data) are retained for the statutory period.

8. Your rights

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, no. 6698) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, request its correction or deletion, object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format.

Send requests to info@charqe.io. We respond within thirty days at the latest.

9. Security

We apply encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control and data minimisation to protect your data against unauthorised access. Each user can access only their own data.

10. Children’s data

Our services are not directed at children under 13. If we become aware that we hold data belonging to a user in this age group, we delete it.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated. The “last updated” date on this page changes with any material revision; for substantial changes we also notify users directly.
